This year’s EURIMAGES CO-PRODUCTION AWARD, an award acknowledging the decisive role of co-productions in fostering international exchange, pays tribute to a woman’s contribution to the success of film co-production.
Graduated in Comparative Literature from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Zagreb University, Ankica Jurić Tilić has more than 25 years of film experience.
She founded her production company Kinorama in 2003 together with two partners. Her filmography includes 30 feature films, several TV series and many shorts. Her latest, most successful features are the EURIMAGES-supported films QUIT STARING AT MY PLATE by Hana Jušić (Fedeora Award at Venice Days 2016, more than 30 film awards) and THE HIGH SUN by Dalibor Matanić (Jury Prize at Un Certain Regard 2015, nomination LUX Prize, Croatian candidate for Academy Awards, 30 international and national awards).
Ankica is also a graduate and a group leader of EAVE — European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs, a member of ACE Producers, Producers on the Move and the European Film Academy. She teaches at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb and participates as a mentor, panellist, lecturer or advisor at many international film industry events.
Within her company, special attention is given to first time directors and new voices. Kinorama’s projects are regularly presented at numerous international production markets and developed at film workshops. At the moment, Kinorama’s artistic team is composed of established authors and debutants alike. Among the recent co-productions of Kinorama, are the EURIMAGES-supported films ERASED (2018) by Miha Mazzini and Dusan Joksimovic, THE LOAD (2018) by Ognjen Glanovic, THE DAWN by Dalibor Matanic and ILLYRICVM by Simon Bogojevic Narath (both 2019).
The EURIMAGES CO-PRODUCTION AWARD will be presented during the European Film Awards Ceremony on Saturday, 7 December, in Berlin.
