Synopsis

The moment the train leaves the station without train driver Odd Horten aboard, he realizes that the path ahead is a journey without printed timetables and well-known stations. Horten has retired, and the platform does not feel like a safe place anymore.
0' Horten is a bittersweet tale of train engineer Odd Horten, retiring after 40 years of traveling a very stable rail and now, uneasily, having to adapt to his new life as a pensioner.
With death as a metaphor, the film follows Horten through absurd adventures and quirky encounters, drawing a melancholy and humorous portrait of an aging man in situations most people will not get into, but certainly will recognize.
