Director's Statement

It is a great joy for me to be nominated for the EFA's. All the team of THE ORPHANAGE is very proud to see how this small film has grown thanks to the audience's support. The world-wide success of a European genre movie like THE ORPHANAGE shows us that we can make quality cinema here that is at the same time competitive with the American industry. We are very grateful for this nomination as it gives us more strength to confront our next project.
