Synopsis

He does not remember much from that time. Things have faded, like the color of a painting after too much light. The only thing that bothers him is this music. It keeps popping up … He thinks he forgot what it meant. All he knows for sure is that he cannot get it out of his head.

Statement of the director

Lately, I have been feeling the rise of new forms of emotional dictatorships, tyrannies that are very difficult to identify because they creep under your skin, transform your emotional apparatus, and drain your critical energies. Manipulation through language and the exhaustion of human beings via technology seem to be the strategy many Western countries choose to curb and control mass behavior. Furthermore, safety and health have become a common scapegoat to instill systems of fear, obedience, and the justification of atrocities. I imagined a film in which a similar power emerges, and the protagonist is entirely unaware of its dangers, happily transforming into a man incapable of love. Now that power holds all the data to understand and circumvent human behavior, our next great enemy won’t appear as a monster but rather as a sorcerer, invisible at first glance.

The film's style sought to imagine the story as if extracted from a pre-censored archive, already chewed up and distorted by a machine. It was depicted using an unsettling black-and-white world generated artificially and an unknown alphabet created by combining typographical flaws of artificial intelligence. The images were generated using outdated AI versions and modified individually to achieve stylistic consistency. Even the music, except for the central track, was generated by AI.

He does not remember much from that time. Things have faded, like the color of a painting after too much light. The only thing that bothers him is this music. It keeps popping up … He thinks he forgot what it meant. All he knows for sure is that he cannot get it out of his head.
