Synopsis

Synopsis

Marguerite is madly in love with the Viscount d'Aveleda, a strange gentleman, both rich and refined. The Viscount loves Marguerite, but has a terrible hidden secret which will be revealed to her on their wedding night. Don Joan is wild about Marguerite, and devoured by jealousy. Seeing himself rejected, he threatens to murder the two lovers. The real drama, however, arrives from another, quite unexpected quarter. "Marguerite is a femme fatale, a woman who irresistibly provokes men's passions", says the presenter. "This is a story of blue blood and the aristocracy. He who wishes to listen will accompany me on a pilgrimage through high society, where, instead of talking, people sing. I will take him to banquets and balls, and awaken his interest by means of mystery, love and jealousy - the kind you find in novels."
