In 2006, James Lees and William Bridges set up an art project called “The Apology Line” which involved a free telephone number for the public to call and apologise for whatever may be weighing on their conscience. These messages formed the basis of the film.

Biography

Born in the Midlands, James Lees performed in and directed theatre before moving into film. Film school, various
roles in a film lab, and a run in with a particularly vicious monkey in Russia followed before he established his own
production company, The Hobo Film Company, and a freelance career as a director.
