In the Mood for Love

Hong Kong

Synopsis

Synopsis

One of two films recently shot in Thailand by Hong Kong auteur Wong Kar-wai, In the Mood for Love features Tony Leung and Maggie Cheung in a story set in Hong Kong's Shanghai community in 1962 and focuses on a man and a woman trying to track down the infidelities of their respective spouses. "It's a different kind of film for me," says the director. "The characters are more mature - it's the first time I've touched on marriage, for instance."
