Synopsis

After researching for over two years the popular Portuguese fado, Saura has taken a huge step forward in his approach to musical. Whereas in his previous musicals, Iberia, Flamenco, Tango, etc., dance had a significant role, in Fados, Saura carries out an enormous effort to portray, through the plot and the images, the birth of suburban and port music, which is in itself a synthesis of all types of music that emerged at the end of the 19th century.
