interview

How long did it take to make your short?
Three years from the start of financing. One and a half years on and off in pre-production and one and a half years of
production.

Was it difficult to get financing?
It was difficult to get it started, and for the costs of animation.

Which thoughts come to mind concerning a “European cinema community”?
I am Italian, I make films in Denmark, with a Serbian-Danish producer and a French one. I am glad I am European.

If you owned a theatre for one night, which films would you screen?
THE COOK, THE THIEF, HIS WIFE AND HER LOVER by Peter Greenaway

What is your next project?
An animated opera called PSYCHOMACHIA, with animated actors and live performing music.
It tells the tale of vices and virtues walking trough the landscape of life, towards a mysterious funeral, of which they don't know yet that it is going to be their own.

A woman is locked in her home with an egg. She eats the egg, she repents. She kills it. She lets the egg die of hunger.
