In A ONE AND A TWO, Taiwanese film¬maker Edward Yang explores old loves, betrayals of friends and fami¬ly and the scars of previous lives. Describing the film as "a simple slice of life from the 20t:'1 century", Yang cen¬tres on the multi-layered crises that beset one family: NJ, the manager of a computer company in the midst of an overhaul; his wife, a stressed career woman; a critically-ill granny who adds to the burden; and teenager Ting, in the midst of adolescent turmoil.
