2 BIRDS takes place during one bright summer night and follows a group of young teenagers on a journey from innocence to adulthood. The main character is a timid boy who has a typical schoolboy crush on a girl his age, who happens to be a friend of his mate.
Rúnar Rúnarsson is one of the founders of Óháðakvikmyndagerðin – an Icelandic non-Profit organization with the
purpose of co-operation between members in film events and Independent filmmaking. In 1996 he became the director of the Reykjavík Short Film Festival. His short film THE LAST FARM won an Oscar nomination in 2006.
Rúnar currently studies Directing at The National Film School of Denmark and will graduate in the summer of 2009.
