European Young Audience Award

The European Young Audience Award, established in 2012, celebrates outstanding European films selected for young viewers aged 12 and over.

Three nominated films are presented to youth audiences through our cultural partner network across Europe as part of the European Awards Season; in non-commercial educational screenings, in regular theatrical screenings, and in the concluding jury event on the same day as the European Film Awards. For two months, young people act as jurors and rate the films, and their votes determine the winner, who is announced at the European Film Awards ceremony.

Interviews with the directors and cast of nominated films carried out by young reporters are published on our European Film Club YouTube channel.
