European Young Audience Award

The European Young Audience Award, established in 2012, celebrates outstanding European films selected for young viewers aged 12 and over.

Three nominated films are presented to youth audiences through our cultural partner network across Europe as part of the European Awards Season; through Special Cinema Screenings, online streaming on the European Film Club platform, interactive Watch Parties and in a Concluding Jury Event on the same day as the European Film Awards. For two months, young people act as jurors and rate the films, and their votes determine the winner, who is announced at the European Film Awards ceremony.

Young reporters make interviews with the directors and young cast of nominated films which are published on the European Film Club YouTube channel.
