EFA Nominates Three Documentaries
The European Film Academy proudly announces the nominations in the category EUROPEAN FILM ACADEMY DOCUMENTARY 2011 – PRIX ARTE. A committee consisting of EFA members and experts has chosen three films for a nomination.
The nominated documentary films will now be made available to all 2,500 members of the European Film Academy who will vote for the winner.
Nominated are the 3D dance documentary PINA by Wim Wenders about and for the famous choreographer Pina Bausch who died in 2009; the Dutch POSITION AMONG THE STARS by Leonard Retel Helmrich, the third part of a long-term documentary about an Indonesian family; as well as ¡VIVAN LAS ANTIPODAS! (Germany / the Netherlands / Argentinia / Chile) by Victor Kossakovsky, a fascinating kaleidscope of our planet.

In association with the European culture channel ARTE, the winner will be presented at the 24th European Film Awards on 3 December in Berlin.
