This year’s 24th European Film Awards are the first to return to Berlin since 2007. At the Tempodrom am Anhalter Bahnhof, they can look back at 10 very eventful years since the awarding of the 14th European Film Awards on the 1 December 2001 marked the official inauguration of the concert and event location.

The Tempodrom is an architecturally unique location which has attained nationwide fame with numerous appearances of nationally and internationally renowned artists as well as by being the venue of high-profile Media & TV Events. The special amphitheatre form allows for acoustically high-quality live events with intimate vicinity to the stage," Thomas M. Gross, manager of the Tempodrom, explains.

Following the plans of the architects von Gerkan, Marg and Partner, the Tempodrom was erected in close vicinity to the Potsdamer Platz. The event location, situated underneath a spectacular roof-like tent, divides itself into two arenas with a holding capacity of 3,500 and 450 seats.
